Entrusted
“The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2
Entrusted is our men’s training aimed at building up men to lead and serve in the home, church, and community. The general format is four meetings from February through May and then four meetings from September through December each year for two years. The material is not necessarily sequential, so you can begin in the Spring or in the Fall, either in Year 1 or Year 2. The goal is to complete all four modules (below).
Core/Cornerstone: Hermeneutics, interpretation, spiritual disciplines
Character: Personal integrity, heart/worship, sanctification
Content: Knowledge, biblical doctrine, Bible survey
Capabilities: practical ministry skill
Each monthly meeting is slated for 2 hours on Sunday afternoon. Reading and video projects will be assigned for completion between the meeting dates. Additionally, we envision that each man will meet informally for lunch or coffee once a month with an elder for questions, discussion, direction, & encouragement.
